Tim McGraw: The Stage Fixture That Keeps Him Steady
Tim McGraw has been in rehearsals for his upcoming “Standing Room Only Tour,” which kicks off in March. Tim took some time getting ready for his latest concert tour to share with fans something on stage that is a “flex” in his world.
McGraw posted a video clip to Instagram responding when asked what a “flex” in his world is. He said, “I have to say when I’m working and on stage, my mic stand. I mean, it’s got a little bit of the design of my tattoo on my arm. It’s got all my daughter’s initials and my wife’s initials as well. It’s on my mic stand all the way around, so whenever I’m losing focus or feel like I’m not having a good night, which sometimes happens, I’ll look down at my mic stand, and it sort of re-gathers me, and makes me think of my purpose.”
He concluded, “So that’s kind of a flex in my working world for sure. And it translates into my personal world, too, because everything I do is for those guys.”
The stand says three words along with the markings: Family, Love, and Music.

McGraw recently showcased the musical talent of one of his daughters on his Instagram. He shared a video clip of his daughter Audrey playing a Tammy Wynette classic at the piano. He wrote over the clip, “Wow, our girl Audrey crushes this one.”
In the video clip, McGraw reacts in real-time to her performance of Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man,” and as she sings, his smile gets bigger and bigger. After the song ends, he tells the camera, “Whew, our baby girl Audrey, she’s so talented. Man, I’ve said it a hundred times: all my girls are so talented. They all sing great. Audrey, she is so special. She’s such an incredible writer as well. I mean, we get to hear this whenever she’s home; she’ll sit on the piano, and we can hear this all through the house. We can hear the stuff that she’s writing, and I’m telling you, her voice and the things that she writes are just so mind-blowing and so deep. She’s a true artist; she’s got a true artist’s soul.”
Tim captioned the post, “We love it when @audreymcgraw comes home and sits at the piano…. She’s a true artist, and we love the things she writes! #prouddad.”
