During Game 1 of the Wild Card round, Philadelphia Phillies against the Miami Marlins, Nick Castellanos giving the finger on live television seems to be sweeping the internet. But, maybe it isn’t what we thought it was.

Nick Castellanos Giving The Finger Video
Now, who was the directed to? The Miami Marlins? The fans at Citizens Bank Park? The Phillies dugout? Watch the video and you be the judge. He was trying to stretch a single into a double and he was called SAFE (rightfully so).
It wasn’t his MIDDLE finger but it was his ring finger. Pointing at that implying “I want that World Series ring this year.”
He was interviewed after the game and said “that’s just something that came out” meaning, it wasn’t really planned. But it sure pumped up the team and the crowd.

Phillies 2022 Postseason
As we know, the Phillies came very close to winning it all last year. After barely squeaking by to make it into the postseason, occupying the six seed in the National League, they were able to defy all odds and make it all the way to the World Series.
They faced the Houston Astros who proved to be much too much to handle. They lost in six games.

This year, they clinched the four seed in the National League which is the top Wild Card spot. They beat division rival Miami Marlins 4-1 in game one of the three game Wild Card series. The winner will take on the number one seeded Atlanta Braves in a five game series.
