‘American Idol’ Is The Latest Show To Suspend Filming Over Coronavirus Concerns
American Idol is the latest show to be affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
People explains that “The ABC singing competition is enacting additional precautions across its production amid the ongoing health crisis, suspending any new filming and enabling remote work for the rest of its employees. Staffers are also ensuring contestants get home to their families during the health crisis.”
The series will continue to air as scheduled but will stop at the live shows, which were set to begin in April.
This is one of a long list of shows that have recently been shut down, including The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, and Grey’s Anatomy.
