On Monday a new tequila brand hits the market across Texas and the guys from Midland and distillery Premium de Jalisco are behind it.
The collaboration features 3 types of tequila, blanco, reposado, and añejo and is called Insólito, which stands for “extraordinary” in Spanish.
Midland bassist Cameron Duddy told Austin 360 he likes the blanco “on the rocks with lemon or a splash of soda water or mixed into a paloma.
The band didn’t want the bottles to look like every other tequila bottle on the shelf so they opted for colors representative of the southwest with gold lettering. At first glance you wouldn’t know the tequila was a collaboration with Midland because their name can only be found in small print on the back.
Not planning a trip to Texas anytime soon? Never fear, Insólito will be available on their tour! That means bottoms up on September 12th at Citizen’s Bank Park!
