Popular Home Goods Store Will Close Pennsylvania And Delaware Locations
A popular home goods store has filed for bankruptcy and will close Pennsylvania and Delaware locations.
Tuesday Morning will shut the doors on more than half it’s retail locations across the country.
“It’s the second time Tuesday Morning has filed for bankruptcy protection in three years. Challenges from the pandemic including temporary closures and employee furloughs forced the Dallas-headquartered company to shutter more than 200 of its nearly 700 stores in 2020” according to SF Gate.
Tuesday Morning Corporation is one of the original off-price retailers specializing in name-brand, high-quality products for the home, including upscale home textiles, home furnishings, housewares, gourmet food, toys and seasonal décor, at prices generally below those found in boutique, specialty and department stores, catalogs and on-line retailers.
Based in Dallas, Texas, the Company opened its first store in 1974 and currently operates 487 stores in 40 states. More information and a list of store locations may be found on the Company’s website at www.tuesdaymorning.com.
After considering how best to address Tuesday Morning’s exceedingly burdensome debt, Tuesday Morning determined that the best path to reorganizing and transforming the Company begins with a Chapter 11 filing.
