“Mind On You” Singer Went To Same High School As Eagles Legend
Jeff and Justin crashed the CMAs in early November, 2023 and met George Birge. The “Mind On You” singer is a Texas boy and a Dallas Cowboys fan (boo) but also has a strange Philadelphia sports connection that we didn’t see coming.
Big props to Justin for finding out this information!
“Mind On You” Singer Has Philly Sports Connection
Justin first started by pointing out that Birge had Eagles on his shirt. Later, the singer admitted he might need to change the shirt so he doesn’t show allegiance toward the Philadelphia team that just beat his Dallas Cowboys only two days prior to this interview.
“That’s the only time I rooted for the Eagles,” Birge explained when an alumni of high school was playing the Super Bowl for the birds.
More About George Birge
George Birge is a Texas-born, Nashville based singer that really gained some recognition from his song, “Beer, Beer, Truck, Truck” which was inspired by a viral TikTok that was posted by another creator. He ended up cutting the song and it went viral this past summer. Here’s more on George according to his website.
He credits his Austin upbringing with his gift for writing relatable lyrics and melodies. When he first formed a band and began playing bars in the city’s Sixth Street entertainment district, he sang his own originals, not covers.
He is relatively new to the country music scene and even though we don’t agree with his allegiance to football teams, we do really like his music. His debut single to radio, “Mind On You,” is storming up the charts as we write this article. It comes from an album with the same title which came out in May of 2023. Take a listen to the radio single right here.
Actually we found out a lot of artists at the CMAs wanted to talk about Philly sports!
