Bryce Harper Gives Update After Being Hit in the Face With 96.9 mph Pitch
Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper gives a video update after being smashed in the face by a 96.9 mph pitch Wednesday night.
Harper was hit by Genesis Cabrera’s first pitch of the game, coming in at the top of the sixth for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Bryce immediately left the game after being hit. On the very next pitch, Cabrera got Didi Gregorius in the ribs with another fast ball. Joe Girardi, the Phillies manager began to challenge the series of events and got ejected from the game.
Harper shared a video update after Philadelphia’s 5-3 victory. “Everything feels good,” he said. “Everything came back good, CT all that kind of stuff. So, face is still there. We’re all good. See you guys soon.”

Cabrera made a statement after the game apologizing for hitting Harper saying he was “overshowing and that’s why I missed the pitches.”
“My prayers go out to Bryce Harper,” Cabrera said. “I really wish him the best. I hope he has a speedy recovery. The game kind of got away from me at that point. I’m really sorry for everything that happened today. None of it was intentional.”
