The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is an iconic part of American culture. It’s been around for nearly 100 years, and always brings a smile to people’s faces. Recently, however, Oscar Mayer announced that they are changing the name of the Wienermobile to the Frankmobile. I know, I know, it’s a little weird. But there’s a reason for it.
Oscar Mayer is rolling out a new hot dog recipe this summer. And they wanted to give the Frankmobile a new name to match the new hot dogs. They say it’s to “pay homage” to the new recipe.
My bologna has a first name. It’s O-S-C-A-R, not F-R-A-N-K
But we can’t help but wonder, what does this mean for the future of the Wienermobile? Will it still be the same iconic vehicle that we all know and love? Can you imagine seeing the big bunned hot dog rolling down the road and yelling, “Look! It’s the Frankmobile!” Won’t it always be the Wienermobile?
