The Godmother of Soul – Miss Patti LaBelle will get a city block named after her in Center City. The Philly native will get the honor during this year’s Wawa Welcome America Festival. Patti LaBelle Way will be the block of Broad and Spruce streets just south of City Hall along the Avenue of the Arts.

Wednesday Miranda was spotted in NYC with her husband Brendan and there is a huge bruise on Miranda’s thigh, just below her Daisy Dukes. (Thanks for the close up, RadarOnline) I mean – it’s big – and one of those deep bruises that when it heals is like purple and green in spots and just fleshy in others.
McLaughlin had no visible injuries.
And, as it’s Fathers Day Weekend, Andie & Dave honored all of our country dads and their dads this morning, and one who has STRONG ties to Philly is Tim McGraw and his biological dad Tug. Tim didn’t find out that the dad he grew up with was his STEP-father until Tim was 11. He was looking for hidden Christmas presents in his mom’s closet when he stumbled across his birth certificate which said his father was a professional baseball player whose last name was McGraw.
Wow.
Things didn’t get much easier for Tim even after he finally met his biological father, former Phillies pitcher Tug McGraw – but things got better as everyone kind of matured and settled down – and when Tug was diagnosed with his brain tumor, Tim and Faith were by his side until the end.
