You Won’t Believe The National League Player Yet To Commit An Error
He’s on the Phillies and not known for his defense! Take a guess of the one National League player yet to commit an error. This includes only qualified players which is based upon how many games they’ve appeared in.
The Phillies Playoff Chances
The Philadelphia Phillies currently occupy the top National League Wild Card spot with over a 97% chance of making the playoffs. They had a historic August in which they hit 59 home runs, which is the most in a single month in franchise history.
Trea Turner, after a rough beginning to the season, he has really turned things around since the standing ovation on August 4th at Citizens Bank Park. Trea Turner, in case you didn’t know, plays shortstop for the Philadelphia Phillies. On December 8, 2022, Turner signed an 11-year contract worth $300 million with the Phillies. Prior to that, Turner played for the Washington Nationals and the Los Angeles Dodgers. His notable achievements from his time with those teams include Rookie of the Year Runner-Up, World Series Champion, and NL Stolen Bases Leader.
But it isn’t Trea Turner with zero errors this season, It isn’t Bryce Harper either.
Which National League Player Yet To Commit An Error?
This will surprise any and all Phillies fans… It isn’t who you think. It isn’t J.T. Realmuto, not Stott, definitely not Schwarber, not Bohm, not Marsh, but who else?
NICK CASTELLANOS!!
Yep, you read that right, Nick Castellanos is the only player in the National League (of all qualified players) who has yet to commit an error on the field. Now, if you know this team and Castellanos, he is not known for flashing the leather out there in right field but seems like he’s been doing a much better job of it.
Nick Castellanos Highlights
I mean, he had some amazing catches last year during the postseason!
Remember this one in the World Series?
In fact, that’s the same catch THREE times in the postseason! HE was an animal out there.
