Well this just had us crying! Phillies player Bryson Stott, starting second baseman, was being interviewed during a Spring Training game. When asked about his new daughter who, at the time of the interview, was four and a half months old, he began to get emotional.
Phillies Player Gets Emotional During Interview
Check out the video below from NBC Sports Philly. Bryson and his wife, Dru, welcomed their baby girl, Braxtyn Grace Stott, into the world on November 4th, 2023. It was only a couple weeks after the Phillies playoff dreams were crushed by the Arizona Diamondbacks in game seven of the National League Championship Series.
The announcement of the birth was adorable. Both Bryson and Dru posting photos of their little one on their Instagram pages. Just for your information, they adhere to not showing their baby's face in social media postings, similar to that of Phillies player Bryce Harper's children.
Congrats to the happy family! And good luck to this guy this season.

We had a lot of fun at Spring Training in Clearwater, Florida in 2024. Lots of work was done but also lots of fun was had. Including a game we played on our own which was all about finding the best throwback Phillies jersey at the ballpark.
If you can guess the player's name of the last jersey on this list, you are an expert. You win.
As you might imagine, this was not small task at all. We ended up looking all throughout the jersey to find the best ones and we have quite the collection. The fun of this is we are going to let you to guess if you can come up with the first names of each and every jersey we found.

Throwback Phillies Jersey
So what constitutes a throwback in our opinion? It's not about the style of the jersey, only the name on the back. So for example, there's one player below (who I can't name, you've got to guess) who played with the team as early as last year. But now, since he's not longer on the team, we consider his jersey a "throwback."
Let's see how many you can get. Good luck! The last one is the hardest.
Jersey #1

Clues: He played with the Phillies from 2005-2011. He was a two-time All Star. Later played for the Dodgers. Also played for the Red Sox. Brief stint with the Angels
Jersey #2

Clue: Member of the team from 2000-2008. Started his career with the Phillies. Ended his career with Giants. He was s left fielder and DH.
Jersey #3

Clue: This is a second baseman. Six time All Star. Did it five straight years! 2003-2015 tenure with Philly. Ended his career in 2018 with the Dodgers.
Jersey #4

Clue: Played most of his career in Toronto. Four years, his final four in the league, with the Phillies. Eight All Star Game selections, wow. Two Cy Young Awards, that's impressive.
Jersey #5

Clue: Played his whole 13-year career in Philly. Rookie of the Year in 2005. Won the MVP the very next year. World Series champ with our team.
Jersey #6

Clue: Pitched 15 years for the Phillies. Had a 24 year career, which is unheard of really. Do you know who it is? Quite a throwback here for sure.
Jersey #7

Clue: He's a Hall of Famer, no doubt about that. Spent his whole 18-year career with the Phillies. Twelve All Star Games. Then add two MVPs. Pretty amazing player.
Jersey #8

Clue: A little lesser known here I would assume. Only played three of 19 years in the league in Philly. Also played in Settle and Kansas City. Very briefly in New York with the Yankees.
Jersey #9

Clue: We know him and we love him. Before the 2023 season begun, tragedy struck. This poor first basemen hurt his knee during Spring Training and missed all of 2023. He now is a member of the Brewers. He will be missed.
Jersey #10

Clue: 15 year career and ten of them were in Philly. Never won a Cy Young but came close a couple of times. Retired after the 2020 season. Started his career in Philly in 2006
Jersey #11

Clue: Of his 12 years, 11 were with Philly. He was a catcher. Only one All Star Game selection to his name. Two years he batted over .300 for the year including .325 in his All Star season.
Jersey #12

Clue: He started his career with Cleveland. Ended his career with the Phillies. Had a stint in both Texas and Seattle. Won a Cy Young Award. That was his final full year in Cleveland.
Jersey #13

Clue: DEEP CUT. Five year career. All of those five years were with our Phillies. The most games he played in a season was 105. Only two other times he played in more than half of the season's games. This one is a real test.
