Phillies Player And Wife Expecting Baby, Announce On Field
A Phillies player and his wife made the big announcement following game two of the Wild Card round. The Phillies defeated the Marlins 7-1 to advance to the National League Division Series to take on the Atlanta Braves.
Phillies 2022 Postseason
As we know, the Phillies came very close to winning it all last year. After barely squeaking by to make it into the postseason, occupying the sixth seed in the National League, they were able to defy all odds and make it all the way to the World Series.
They faced the Houston Astros who proved to be much too much to handle. They lost in six games.

In the first round, the Wild Card round, actually all four series were sweeps. The Phillies took down the Marlins at home. The Texas Rangers went to Tampa Bay and took the Rays down in a sweep. The Minnesota Twins swept the Toronto Blue Jays in two quick games. Also, the Arizona Diamondbacks, who were a Wild Card team, beat the division-winning Milwaukee Brewers.
