Check out Jeff & Donnie’s Phillies Season Projections.

The Phillies opened the season yesterday in Texas as they took on the Rangers.  The game started off great as the Phillies got to ace pitcher Jacob deGrom early.  Then, the wheels fell off.  They ended up losing the game 11-7. It’s just Game #1 of 162 so let’s not get too crazy!

If you don’t know anything about Jeff or myself(Donnie), we are both major sports fans especially baseball.  Every morning when we see each other, we go over box scores, talk pitching matchups, and run through the all of the games from the previous day.  This has to annoy Andie & Shannon.  Hey, we are boys and we like sports!

It was 3:15pm yesterday and I just woke up from a nap.  I called Jeff and he answered sounding very groggy.  Jeff just got back from Phillies Spring Training in Clearwater Florida and literally had ZERO sleep.  He was down there covering the team and scouting the team as well.  He always answers my calls which is really cool, even if he is super tired or running an errand.

I had an idea I wanted to pitch to him earlier in the day but I completely forgot about it.  I wanted to do some Phillies team and player projections before the season started.  We had 45 minutes until first pitch of Opening Day.  I was like “Dude, I have an idea… We should do our personal Phillies projections.”  He was like “Umm, okay. Let’s do it.”  This dude just rolled out of bed probably hair all messed up and this was probably the last thing he wanted to do.  Kidding!  He was all about it.  When it comes to baseball, Jeff is always down to talk and listen to it all! It must run in the family or something.
