Jimmie Allen Makes Strange Announcement Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
Country star Jimmie Allen makes strange announcement after being in the headlines quite a bit lately for being accused of sexual assault by two different women. We initially got all the details from our friend, Nancy Brooks, here on 92.5 XTU.
Jimmie Allen Accused Of Sexual Assault
In this article, we learn that in May, the first sexual assault charge was filed. Allen denied any wrongdoing telling Variety the following statement.
“It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues, and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever. I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship — one that lasted for nearly two years. During that time, she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely.”
A former manager and another woman known as “Jane Doe 2” accused Allen of filming her without her consent during a sexual encounter.
Earlier in 2023, Allen and his wife, Alexis Gale, not only announced that they are separating, but also that they are expecting their second child together. At this point, the sexual assault allegations had not been made public.
Jimmie Allen Makes Strange Announcement
Amid all of this, Jimmie Allen took to social media on July 27th to announce a tour. Not a music tour, it was announced on June 9th that Allen’s label, BBR Music Group, dropped him from their list of artists, but he wants to go on a comedy tour.
