Jalen Hu? Jalen Hurts – Do You Know His Real Name?
Jalen Who? Jalen Hulu? No, Jalen Hurts – Do you know his real name?
Hulu launches it’s new “Hulu Has Live Sports” campaign today and it just happens to star our very own Jalen Hurts, quarterback of our Philadelphia Eagles.
The spot is 30-seconds long. In it, Jalen is shocked to learn his real name isn’t “Hurts,” it’s actually “HUlu Has Live SpoRTS.” (It makes more sense when you see the spot.) Before you know it, his teammates, fans, and even reports share the news about “Jalen Hulu Has Live Sports.”
How does the REAL Jalen HURTS feel about it? According to a press release:
“I am excited to be featured in Hulu’s new campaign heading into the NFL season. I’ve always been a fan of Hulu and the excitement the platform adds to the game I play and love.”
The spot is seen on several different social media and digital entities, but makes its debut during the Thursday Night football kick off on September 7.
You, of course, can see it HERE now:
He loves crimson …
Before he took the lead on the Eagles offense, Jalen Hurts wore crimson at two different schools. His first three collegiate seasons were spent playing football at the University of Alabama.
But his final year of eligibility was spent at the University of Oklahoma.
His rise to the top was a quick one
Jalen Hurts was drafted in the second round of the 2020 draft and started on the Philadelphia Eagles his rookie season as a backup to Carson Wentz. By the end of the season he was starting quarterback. 2022 proved to be a breakout season for Hurts as he finished second in voting for MVP. Oh, and he led the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII.
He won’t be hurting for money …
This year, 2023, Hurts signed a five-year, $255 million contract extension. The new deal makes him the highest-paid player in league history (at the time).
