Twitter hilariously Reacts to Elimination of “Mistress”
Angelina Jolie attends the European premiere of "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" in London.
The word “mistress” has been eliminated from the AP Stylebook. The word was removed because it implies that women are solely at fault in cheating scandals. The AP Stylebook is a universal guidebook for journalists and writers. It recommends replacing “mistress” with terms like “companion,” “lover,” or “friend.”
Twitter reacts …
So, my female friends are to understand that the term 'friend' is now a euphemism for Mistress. They will be thrilled.
