George Clooney Was Supposed To Play Noah In ‘The Notebook’
How different would the movie be with George Clooney playing Noah instead of Ryan Gosling. Clooney was recently doing press for this new project ‘The Midnight Sky,” when he revealed that he was almost cast in Nicholas Sparks’ ‘The Notebook.”
He said “I was going to do a movie years ago called ‘The Notebook’, that Ryan Gosling actually did, and I was going to do it with Paul Newman. We were going to do it together, Basically, I was going to play him as a young man, and it was funny. We met and said, “This is it. It’s going to be great.”
Clooney went on to watch a lot of Paul Newman’s work and realized he would not be able to suit up to the younger version of him in the movie.
”He’s one of the most handsome guys you’ve ever seen. We met up again and I said, I can’t play you. I don’t look anything like you. This is insane. We just wanted to do it because we wanted to work together, but it ended up being not the right thing for us to do.”
I’m not sure how that movie would have looked but it probably would have still been great!
