Services being provided may include one of the following: dental cleanings, fillings or extractions. Prescreening is required to determine eligibility for treatment and will include free X-rays and an exam.

What is Smiles for Freedom?
Currently, in 16 states nationwide, Smiles for FREEdom is a 501c non-profit organization designed to provide free dental care services for veterans and active duty service members. Dental care providers including specialists, dentists, registered dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff volunteer their time and services to work together to provide happier and healthier smiles to those who have provided us the freedom to do so. Smiles for FREEdom was created by dental hygienist Kandice Simpkins and proudly supported by her home dental office co-owners Todd Sala DMD and Jason Sala DMD at Sala Family Dentistry in Reno, Nevada. After coordinating seven years of free dental days providing important care for the community Kandice wanted to create a day of free dentistry solely for the veterans and service members of the community that have provided so much to us. Over $2,000,000 in free dental care services have been provided since the program began in 2015.
