Preparations Are Made Ahead Of D-Day Commemorations In Normandy

Big shout-out to the men and women who have served our country and those who are currently fighting to keep our country free. Thank you for your service. A 100-year-old World War II veteran is getting married to his beautiful 96-year-old fiance in the very spot that troops landed on D-Day.

You need to meet Harold Terens, who is set to marry 96-year-old Jeanne Swerlin this summer. They are making it happen near Normandy during the 80th anniversary of France's liberation from the Nazis by American troops.

It was announced on the morning of February 6th of the passing of the legendary Toby Keith. We found out from the family on his Instagram account. It reads "Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time." Toby Keith's Battle

It was reported that he was battling stomach cancer. We learned of the diagnosis in June of 2022. Toby even went on The Today Show to update fans as to how he was doing back in November of 2023.

The country singer performed in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo, those dates were December 10, 11 and 14th. All three nights were sold out. According to his website, he did not have any planned performances after those dates.

Here he was in September of 2023 at the People's Choice Award. Despite going through this wicked battle, he is crushing it looking great at the end of last year.

His Last Social Media Post

Before the announcement that his family made on social media, he made one last post the day before his passing. That of him on stage. Toby Keith fans flooded the comments with "so glad he's back" wishes, very much deserved.

"My wife and I were at the last country concert at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. WXTU was broadcasting live from Bullies. They announced that Toby Keith's new album was coming out the next week. I blurted out "I Love Toby Keith". Someone from the radio station overheard me and invited me and my wife to come to WXTU to meet Toby Keith in person. The radio station was so gracious. They had a man making omelettes for everyone and then after breakfast."

August 2006 - "Toby couldn't have been nicer to both of us. He spent a good bit of time with my son and that meant the world to me. The concert was amazing."
