Man Eats 50 Creme Eggs in 24 Minutes-Inspired by Classic Movie
A YouTuber who ate 50 Cadbury’s Creme eggs in 24 minutes says his Easter “challenge” was inspired by a Hollywood classic.
Max from south London posted the video to his Max vs Food Youtube channel earlier this week.
He got the idea from the 1967 Oscar-winning movie Cool Hand Luke as well as other competitive eaters online. In the classic movie, Paul Newman’s character eats 50 hard-boiled eggs in an hour to complete a bet.
Max credits warm water to his success and shares the hardest part of the challenge was the shell. “It was definitely the shell, you’d think they’d not be too bad – I even thought that after eating one beforehand in about 10 seconds easily,” he said.
Max plans to recreate the challenge next year with different varieties of eggs, Metro UK Lifestyle reports.
“As a kid, I used to love getting all the different Easter eggs so I suppose this is a kid’s dream come true to be able to eat 50,” he said.
